What is the Hero Project?

The Hero Project is a new initiative from High Country Veterans Adventures that puts veterans in the driver’s seat. Instead of only offering pre-planned events, we invite veterans to share a personal adventure goal, and we help bring it to life.

Whether it’s summiting a challenging peak, completing a multi-day trek, or pursuing a long-held outdoor goal, this program gives veterans the opportunity to take the lead, and the community the chance to rally behind them.

We work alongside each selected participant to plan, organize, and execute the adventure safely and successfully. Once approved, the experience becomes part of our official events calendar so others can take part.

This isn’t just about the destination—it’s about purpose, connection, and achievement.
How it works

1. Submit your idea
Share the adventure you’ve always wanted to accomplish and why it matters to you using the form at the bottom of this page.
3. We build the event
Selected adventures are developed into official HCVA events, complete with planning and support. You and your personal support crew get priority.

2. We Review & Plan
Our team evaluates each request based on feasibility, safety, and alignment with our mission. Don't worry, we will keep your needs priority and reach out with trip details.

4. You lead the way
Along with our profesionaly trained guide team, you and fellow veterans complete the experience together - supported every step of the journey.

support the hero project
Every Hero Project is made possible through the support of our community.

Your donation helps fund veteran-led adventures by covering essential costs like gear, travel, permits, and logistics, removing barriers and making these experiences accessible.

When you give to the Hero Project, you’re not just donating. You’re helping turn a veteran’s goal into a life-changing reality.
