About our Adventures

HCVA adventures are tailored to various levels of experience and fitness and are specifically for veterans and their dependents.  Our events are tailored to help people exposed to the perils of military service disconnect with the stressors of everyday life and find friendship with others who have lived through similar experiences.  While on our trips, we encourage participants to unplug/disconnect and focus on the beautiful natural surroundings.

Eligibility:

Anyone with a military ID card, DD-214, VA Medical Card, or Dependent ID may participate in our regular events.  When we have the availability, we will have special events open to the public to create awareness and a connection between veterans and the rest of the community.

Physicality:

Our adventures are setup to provide challenges to many different skills and physical abilities.  We require that each participant fully understands what they are considering participating in.  If the description of any event leaves you questioning, we implore you to reach out to us for a discussion of your intentions.  The last thing we want is for anyone to be stressed out over having fun!  Email us at info@hcvaco.org for any questions. Our adventures are designed to be mission based, we all worth together to accomplish a common goal (ride a trail, summit a peak, etc.) and sometimes that requires overcoming an adversity found in the natural environment surrounding that adventure.  There is an inherent danger associated with any adventure and we at HCVA will do our best to mitigate that danger; however, nature does as nature does.  All of our adventures are conducted following the guidelines set by the highest of current industry standards and we will do our best to keep you safe and make our adventure something you will want to do again and again.
