About the Event
This is a shorter day hike, approximately 4.5 miles round trip but with 2,150ft of elevation gain. The terrain starts off as a gentle rolling meadow before heading up on a combination of loose scree and hard pack until gaining the rocky ridge and a beautiful view of both Leadville and Fairplay! As a team, we will be working our way up, taking many breaks and checking in often; this hike is low on the technical range, but it is not to be taken lightly. The decent is probably more difficult than the up, with choices of scree or hardpack for your feet. Don't let that deter you, it has been done with a latte in hand (by our lead guide Tony).
