About the Event
Hello fellow Veterans, this is the first event we are doing under our Hero program. In this program, we support a Veteran with an adventure goal, the event is centered around supporting the Veteran to make their goal a reality.
To kick this off, here is the story of Paul Schwindler III in his words:
I’m a U.S. Army veteran and a retired civil engineer. Five years ago, my wife, son, and I moved from Georgia to Colorado because we figured if we were going to grow older, we might as well do it somewhere that makes you earn your scenery.
About five years ago, I decided I was getting a little too comfortable making excuses and calling it aging. I quit drinking, lost a lot of weight, and started getting after it again. These days I spend my time riding my bike, skiing, hunting, fishing, backpacking, and generally looking…
